  • Qualifying a graduate who is in sync with scientific developments, who is aware of the latest technical developments in terms of how to work on devices related to the environment and environmental pollution.
  • Preparing a generation committed to the principles of its noble society and values ​​and belonging to its homeland and nation.
  • Instilling the importance of knowledge and education in the graduate's soul and in what will serve him and his country.
  • Opening channels of partnership and cooperation between the department and the private sector for the purpose of increasing the compatibility between the quality of the department's outputs and the actual and practical requirements of the available jobs.
  • Diagnose the various sources of pollution (industrial, agricultural, and domestic) and assess their effects on air, water and soil.
  • Developing the necessary plans to monitor and follow up environmental pollutants (physical, biological and chemical) in the air, water and soil, and monitor dangerous areas.
  • Evaluating the toxic or environmental impact of hazardous or toxic pollutants such as gases emitted from sulfur springs, pesticides, untreated water from factories, public sewers, and solid and liquid wastes.
  • Conducting quantitative analyzes of organic and inorganic pollutants using modern and sensitive scientific methods and estimating their levels in the natural environment.
  • Evaluating and innovating methods for treating pollutants.
