The Physical Education and Sport Sciences College works in accordance with the requirements of the community and its educational and sport needs. It contributes actively to the preparation of qualified trainers to work in the intermediate and secondary schools as trainers and teachers. As well as being a scientific center for sport researches and studies which will contribute to the finding of solutions, and the successful treatments for the problems of the sport training for the various games in the whole of the Province of Anbar according to the correct scientific and academic research methods.
In the same context, the college always endeavors, by the continuous coordination with the Presidency of the University, to raise the scientific and educational level of teachers, and members of the academic staff through the development and organizational courses, holding seminars, and open dialogue sessions. The college continues to implement typical projects to develop teaching and training methods, and improving the curricula of the student.

Admission Requirements
- Adopting the admission requirements for students in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (central admission).
- Approval of the personal interview for the students by the Dean of the College and the assistants.
- To be fit for a medical examination.
- Student average in high school.
- The absorptive capacity of the college.
