To prepare a broad-based researcher-scientist in business administration to create and transfer new knowledge in the field, identify problems, and make evidence-based decisions that are compatible with international and national requirements; Along with creating new knowledge, the program aims to develop and enhance pedagogical skills in doctoral students.
Admission Requirements
Applications for the doctoral program are announced once a year. Studies begin according to the academic calendar established by the Academic Council. Student enrollment is carried out by order of the presidents, based on meeting the prerequisites for admission to the program. The following can study for the doctoral program: · A person with a master's degree in a broad field of health and social welfare, or an academic degree equivalent to it; or · Applicants with non-health qualifications if they are confirmed by one of the following: a) Issues/subjects taking into account the areas of public health competencies (health policy and management, epidemiology-biostatistics, research methods, project management, health services management, ethics and bioethics, history of health and medicine, health insurance, healthy lifestyle, behavior change, practice in the health sector, bachelor's/master's thesis, etc.) with a volume of at least 60 ECTS credits; b) At least 2 years of work experience in professional positions associated with the field of public health; for which the applicant's supervisor's characterization of the applicant must be additionally presented at the interview; c) At least 2 years of experience in research activities in the field of social health and/or healthcare with the presentation of appropriate results; for which the applicant's characterization of the applicant by the research supervisor, indicating his/her role and place in the research, a relevant article, or presentation of research results at professional conferences must be additionally presented at the interview. · A person whose knowledge of English at least at the B2 level is confirmed by an appropriate international certificate (TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, IELTS, FCE and CERTUS), a document confirming studies in an English-language bachelor's/master's/doctoral program abroad, or by passing the English language exam for admission to the doctoral program of the University of Georgia. The minimum threshold for English proficiency in the university foreign language exam is 60% of the maximum score. If the requirements related to qualifications and competencies are met, the applicant is required to submit a research concept on the subject to be studied, and enrollment is based on a positive assessment of the concept.
