Doctoral studies are a third-level educational program of academic higher education, a combination of teaching and scientific-research components, which aims to train highly qualified scientific personnel and ends with the award of the academic degree of Doctor.
The goal of the doctoral program is to promote the creation of new knowledge and the formation of a doctoral student as a scientist with high scientific values ​​in the field of applied mathematics, who will have knowledge of the latest achievements in the field and will be able to independently carry out original scientific research.
Graduates of the program will be able to find employment in educational, scientific, research private and state structures, in high-tech industries, where modern scientific thinking, knowledge of the latest achievements and depths of the field, analytical thinking, scientific problem-solving skills, and skills in planning, implementing and managing scientific projects are required.
Doctoral studies last at least 3 years and end with the award of a doctorate degree upon successful defense of a doctoral thesis.

Admission Requirements

The doctoral program will admit candidates with a Master's degree in science/natural sciences or an equivalent degree. In addition, they are required to: 1. Relevant qualifications/knowledge/academic degree in the relevant fields, depending on the doctoral topic (pure and applied mathematics). In particular, good knowledge of the fundamental issues of higher mathematics. 2. Presentation of a research concept corresponding to the research topic announced for the doctoral program; 3. Presentation of a document confirming proficiency in English at least at the B2 (Intermediate) level. When making a decision, the School Council takes into account the candidate's research skills and the relevance of the concept presented by the candidate to the scientific topics and resources of the school.
