MSc Machine Intelligence builds on the concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning by creating new systems that more directly provide intelligence than the currently existing digital systems. By developing new processing methods and data representations the aim is to establish the next big step in computing. The programme considers current technologies (e.g. AlphaZero, AlphaGo, IBM Watson, Siri, Alexa), what is behind them, and then moves beyond them, by equipping learners with the necessary open-minded thinking to effectively analyse the needs for future technologies and the ability to create and shape them.
