This degree will give you an understanding of the personal, socio-economic and cultural influences that impact on children and young people’s physical health and mental wellbeing. You will explore ways of working collaboratively across traditional boundaries, both within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams and in a variety of institutional and community settings.We have excellent links with the NHS and other care providers and arrange placements in both hospitals and community settings. Placements are a vital part of your studies and represent 50% of the programme each year. As your nursing and technical skills grow, qualified practitioners will assess your performance. You will further develop your skills by attending sessions on campus. You will be guided by our expert tutors and use facilities such as our well-equipped clinical skills laboratories. On completion of this programme, you will be eligible to apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
