The programme offers a practice-led and competency-based curriculum in which the placement pattern will facilitate and enhance a student’s learning, complementing and consolidating the theoretical components of the programme. Clinical placements provide a mental health nurse identity throughout the programme and offer students the opportunity to achieve and demonstrate the programme learning outcomes, skills and competencies necessary to enter the Professional Register. Successful completion of this programme will lead to eligibility to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, in order to begin your career in nursing. Nurses in both hospital and community settings have opportunities to become managers, educators and clinical specialists. The courses within our Master’s degree will offer both theoretical and practice learning in a variety of settings. We have excellent links with the NHS and other care providers and will arrange your placements in both hospitals and community settings.
