The Department of Geography
represents a scientific department belonging to the system of departments of
the Faculty of Arts, which is committed to respecting moral values and
excellence in education and scientific research in specialized fields in the humanities
and linguistic sciences at the national level, based on the quality of those
educational programs in the system of bachelor and postgraduate scientific and
research studies and support those programs in the service of local and
international issues
Objectives
1- Raising
the scientific and practical efficiency of the students studying in the
department by encouraging field studies, applying modern technologies and encouraging
practical training in various institutions and entities.
2- Training
students to use modern methods and techniques in the field of planning science
and the environment, such as evaluating the environmental effects of
development projects and using GIS technology and remote sensing.
3- Highlighting
the importance of the science of geography and its various fields by paying
attention to scientific research and publishing distinguished research in the
journal that the department aspires to issue.

1. The student must have a high school diploma, or its equivalent, provided that the student has recently obtained the qualification. 2. The student is accepted according to the acceptance rates approved by the college every year. 3. The candidate must be of good conduct and behavior. 4. He must not have been previously convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.
