Admission Requirements
65+
1-
Obtaining
a high school certificate in both its sections (scientific and literary) from
one of the Libyan schools or its equivalent from recognized certificates and in
accordance with the systems determined by the competent authorities. It is also
required to obtain a percentage of 65% in the general assessment and a
percentage of 75% in the foreign languages studied.
2-
Applicants
must pass the admission exam (interview - oral - written), which the facultye
conducts for new students at the beginning of each academic year to ensure the
students’ desire and suitability for the nature of archaeological and tourism
studies.
3-
Every
accepted student pledges in writing to abide by the facultye and university
system and signs it.
4-
The
student must believe in the values and orientations of society.
5-
Free
from infectious diseases and enjoy the health fitness to follow theoretical and
practical lessons.
6-
Pay the
prescribed fees, with the exception of the exempted categories according to the
law.
7-
The
student pledges in writing to devote himself to studying at the facultye.
8-
The facultye
accepts employees who wish to complete their studies in archaeology or tourism
studies, provided that they submit their employer’s approval for a full-time
grant for the entire duration of their studies at the facultye and pledge to do
so in writing.
9-
The facultye
accepts students holding a diploma from higher institutes related to the
specialization and who have obtained a good overall grade or higher to complete
their studies at the facultye.
10- The facultye accepts students who have obtained
intermediate institutes qualifications related to the facultye’s
specializations, provided that they have obtained a very good overall grade,
and pass the facultye’s entrance exam, and the facultye determines the
appropriate specialization for them.
11- Incoming students must pay the prescribed
tuition fees or obtain scholarships from the relevant authorities and pass an
approved exam in the Arabic language for non-native speakers. They must also
enjoy legal residence in Libya for the entire duration of their studies, taking
into account the signed agreements regarding reciprocity.
12- The facultye does not accept students holding a
secondary school certificate before the year of registration, regardless of
their grades, except after the approval of the university’s general registrar
or his authorized representative, in accordance with the following conditions:
A- Bringing evidence that the student was not
dismissed from the institution where he previously studied.
B- Accepting the student in the department that
the facultye deems appropriate.
C- Passing the written or oral admission exam held
by the facultye.
The students mentioned in paragraphs (10-11)
are not entitled to be appointed as teaching assistants at the facultye after
their graduation.
