Mission
The French Language Department seeks to provide
integrated education and training in the French language, the literature of the
French-speaking world, applied and theoretical linguistics, and aims to develop
students' linguistic and intellectual skills to meet the requirements of the
labor market. The department is concerned with preparing students to use the
tools of scientific research and community service, and encourages
intercultural understanding and communication.
Objectives
1.
Providing
students with comprehensive knowledge of the French language, its literature,
and linguistics.
2.
Developing
students’ linguistic and communicative skills through the use of theoretical
and technical methods for teaching listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
3.
Studying
French literature in its various specializations across different historical
periods.
4.
Fostering
creativity in students and preparing them to critique and analyze literary
texts and publications.
5.
Refining
students’ critical thinking skills and enhancing their research capabilities in
their field of specialization.
6.
Conducting
theoretical and comparative research in the fields of French language,
literature, and linguistics.

Enriching
the community through faculty participation in various activities such as

1. The student must have a high school diploma, or its equivalent, provided that the student has recently obtained the qualification. 2. The student is accepted according to the acceptance rates approved by the college every year. 3. The candidate must be of good conduct and behavior. 4. He must not have been previously convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.
