The department of special education at the faculty tends to achieve leadership and success at the local and the regional levels in the field of human resources specialized academically, educationally, professionally in everything related to the field of special education, including the development of educational and guidance services with efforts made for preparing special needs as well as the gifted category and their families. Including families these groups with the society and not inconsistence with the traditions of the true Islamic religion and the traditions of the society.
Mission
1. to prepare human cadres of new university students educationally and professionally to be new to the field of special education with high competencies, as well as preparing successful researchers, leaders, and administrators at the post-graduate levels.
2. To prepare and supervise research projects, and contributing to the development of scientific research to the field of special education.
3. To provide advices, training services, civil society services, and training for children and their families through researchers, to companies specialized in marketing products from Facebook. Also, educating the community on how to deal with people with special needs.
Objectives
1. Qualifying educational competencies and specialized cadres effective in working with special groups.
2. Providing the students with scientific base for children and special groups.
3. Creating conditions for academic students to teach special groups.
4, Raising the level of educational services for children and special groups.
5. Introducing educational and learning services and special group for each individual according to his specialization, aptitudes, and precise abilities.
6. Introducing care centers for people with special needs (comprehensive medical, social care and appropriate rehabilitation).
7. Introduce diagnostic clinics for people with special needs and for their families including the care families’ centers.
8. Exchanging contractual experiences with bodies working in this field by training and qualifying workers to work in the field for caring of people with special needs so that they can participate in the community development according to the capabilities available to them.
