education and scientific research in the field of accounting and auditing. This
plays a role in preparing competent researchers and professionals in
accounting, and disseminating accounting knowledge, which contributes to
providing outputs that help in developing the accounting profession at the
local level.
Program Mission
The Accounting Department works to
enable graduates of accounting programs (holders of a university degree) to
achieve at least a good grade, and to develop themselves in both academic and
professional fields. This is in line with achieving human development goals in
Libya and providing capabilities and human resources that meet labor market
needs.
Program Objectives

Provided opportunities for holders of a university degree in
accounting to complete their postgraduate studies, enabling them to develop
their academic and professional capabilities in accounting.

Qualifying human cadres in the field of accounting that meet the
needs of the Libyan labor market, and contribute to solving the problems of
society
·
Working on developing scientific research in accounting; through
the contribution of faculty members in the department and students in
scientific conferences and seminars locally and internationally.
·
Consolidating cooperation with local, regional and international
universities, bodies and scientific institutions in the field of accounting;
and activating partnership with distinguished ones in postgraduate programs and
scientific research.

Admission Requirements
65+
·
The student must hold a bachelor's degree
or its equivalent from certificates recognized by the Committee for the
Equivalency of Academic Qualifications.
·
A student holding a higher diploma may be
accepted, provided that they are assigned remedial or complementary courses,
taking into account passing these courses with a general grade of no less than
GD, with the possibility of entering a second round if the regulations of the
college in which they are studying allow. The time period for passing the
complementary courses is not counted within the period specified for obtaining
the degree.
