Vision The Media Department aspires to develop and update plans and curricula from time to time, and to add new disciplines that correspond to the development of the media in the world, according to the needs and requirements of the local and national labor market and in line with theLibyan society Mission Establishing a media training center in cooperation with governmental and non-governmental institutions to train workers in the field of media and public relations, and holding training courses for those interested in the field of work, newspapers and radio, on the one hand, and on the other hand producing and directing visual programs and targeted documentary tapes The Department of Media at the Tobruk University  seeks to prepare specialized cadres in the fields of media and communication to be competent in the applied sciences related to the media arts by providing an academic system that focuses on mastery, proficiency and investment in human resources with competencies Objectives 1- Provide the Libyan society  with quality media cadres capable of keeping pace with the requirements of the times, and achieve the comprehensive development of the society in an organized scientific manner 2- Learning and training media cadres with a high degree of quality and efficiency in performance and performance, in accordance with the needs of society, and the aspirations of the learner 3- Ensuring the important role of the media, newspapers , radio and television in   raising the issues of society and the concerns of society and training creative students to exercise their rightful role in developing society and discussing its problems. 4- Providing the opportunity to create a spirit of competition in the fields of creativity and intellectual production in order to motivate students to advance their best through projects and research that support the idea of linking the theoretical aspects and work in the field of awareness. 5- Creating a cultural  environment that allows maximum possibilities for giving, creativity and self-realization. 6- Preparing a media that is literate and qualified to contribute to  building the Libyan society  and develop it by focusing on the importance of the media in this field in pushing the wheel of development forward. 7- Encourages scientific research and develops research in the fields of various media, conferences, seminars, scientific, cultural and media workshops

Admission Requirements

65+

1. The student must have a high school diploma,  or its equivalent, provided that the student has recently obtained the qualification.

 2. The student is accepted according to the acceptance rates approved by the college every year.

 3.The candidate must be of good conduct and behavior.

 4. He  must not have been previously convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.

5.The student must pass ( exams ) or( tests ) of admission determined by the college for some departments
