Mission
The mission of the department is focused on the
preparation of qualified specialists in the field of psychology equipped with
modern knowledge, skills and professional experience in understanding and
interpreting the psychological life of human beings in the various institutions
of society with high and accurate degrees.
Objectives
- The
Department of Psychology aims to develop human resources in our society in the
field of psychological higher education and provide a distinctive scientific
education for students enrolled in the department, earning them the principles
of knowledge and thinking organized science in the shadow of distant moral and
spiritual values consistent with the culture of society and the religion of
Islam.
2The department
aims to prepare psychologists who are able in the fields of psychological,
counseling and social sciences, and to provide them with theoretical knowledge
and applied experiences that enable them to contribute to the development and
implementation of psychological policies and programs in cooperation with state
agencies and institutions.
3-Preparing
qualified psychologists to work efficiently in various state institutions:
educational institutions, psychiatric hospitals, institutions for the care of
people with special needs, social welfare institutions and Ieta homes,
addiction treatment institutions, reform and rehabilitation institutions and
prisons.
4- Measuring
translation and publishing and
encouraging the mobility of authorship in a way that serves and enriches the
relevant knowledge with interest in the department and its scientific fields.
5- Leading
psychological and educational research and studies aimed at understanding the
Libyan reality and the problems facing it and providing the necessary solutions
and proposals to solve and prevent them.

1. The student must have a high school diploma, or its equivalent, provided that the student has recently obtained the qualification. 2. The student is accepted according to the acceptance rates approved by the college every year. 3. The candidate must be of good conduct and behavior. 4. He must not have been previously convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.
