Mission
The Biology Department works to send a sublime message, which is to prepare academically and educationally qualified scientific cadres capable of creativity and innovation to meet the requirements of the labor market, including teachers specialized in the science and education fields.
Objectives
1. providing students with sufficient basic academic, educational, technical and professional skills that enable them to enhance their personal skills to meet the requirements of the labor market.
2. Developing students’ abilities to interact with modern technologies in laboratories which qualify them for future work.
3. Training the teachers to be capable for performing their teaching and pedagogical tasks as well as to develop cognitive and research capabilities in the field of biology and its teaching methods.
4. Working to develop and modernize scientific crucial theoretical and practical teaching tools.
5. Improving the department’s role in the community service.
6. Develop excellent skills in conducting scientific research in the educational field.
7. Work to spread and consolidate the foundations and concepts of quality among the members of the department.
8. Meeting community needs for teachers.

The students must have a secondary school degree with a percentage not less than 65% in ether departments ( scientific or the literary one)
