 The vision of the Faculty of Pharmacy includes in its conviction that pharmacists have an active role in building a distinguished scientific community, in which they are able to secure all pharmaceutical and health community needs of medicines and pharmaceutical, medical and laboratory supplies. This is achieved by building a qualified pharmaceutical generation capable of carrying out community pharmaceutical and medical care in the best way and in line with the changing societal needs.

The mission of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Tobruk lies in its ambition to achieve scientific and academic excellence for its graduates in all fields of pharmaceutical sciences, and this is achieved by building the student's personality and expanding his mental and scientific perceptions and professional ethics by following the latest means of education and scientific research in pharmacy in all its fields, all to meet the current and future requirements of the pharmacist's work to be an example for pharmacists who are committed to their duties in serving the community and securing all its related needs.

Program Mission:

The Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Tobruk, seeks to provide a distinguished educational service for the benefit of the local and regional labor market with a scientifically and professionally qualified pharmaceutical cadre capable of serving the community by providing an educational and research environment, efficient staff, advanced curricula and laboratories while adhering to professional ethics.

Program Objectives:

 1. Providing the community with specialized cadres in the field of pharmaceutical sciences.

2. Contribute to research and studies that will develop the pharmaceutical industries in Libya.

3. Building bridges of cooperation and developing links with corresponding scientific institutions inside and outside the country.

4. Contribute to providing consultations on how to exploit natural resources suitable for pharmaceutical manufacturing.

5. Positive contribution to everything that would serve pharmaceutical sciences, and at various levels of study in the faculty.

Admission Requirements

85+
1. The applicant must have a high school completion certificate or its equivalent. 2. The student must obtain the approved percentage for admission and study in the faculty (85%). 3. To successfully pass the entrance exam and personal interview organized by the faculty. 4. To be fit and free from infectious diseases, and able to follow theoretical and practical lectures. 5. To be fully dedicated to study. 6. The applicant – non-Libyan – must be a regular resident in Libya throughout the study period, fulfilling all the conditions related to the academic qualification and admission systems. 7. The non-Libyan applicant who does not enjoy a scholarship undertakes to pay tuition fees and expenses in accordance with the regulations, laws and decisions in force at the university. 8. The acceptance of Arab students from – non-Libyans – according to specific numbers commensurate with the absorptive capacity of the faculty and its capabilities. 9. The conditions and controls determined by the General Placement Committee at the university level shall be observed.
