The study of language and its literature promotes the development of mental abilities and bridges cultures .The English Department also seeks to refine the University of Tobruk's linguistic skills in expression, narrative construction, and critical analysis to communicate effectively and appropriately with other civilizations

Mission

The Department of English Language seeks to provide students with methods of expression in the diversity of the cultures of the outside world. These provide a knowledge, fertile and diverse increase on the manifestations of the historical social and heritage life of other societies, through their study of literary and academic texts in the fields of language, literature and translation. The capacity of students is built with the finest methods of expression and academic and literary formulation to contribute to the field of scientific research, which in turn improves the level of educational achievement of students and also provides service to the local community and its development.

2.Conducting research and studies and drawing conclusions is accurate

3. The ability to collect and analyze data and information and employ them in research, studies and reports

Admission Requirements

65+
 1. The student must have a high school diploma,  or its equivalent, provided that the student has recently obtained the qualification. 2. The student is accepted according to the acceptance rates approved by the college every year.     3. The candidate must be of good conduct and behavior.     4. He  must not have been previously convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude.
