Vision To be a leading and distinguished sociology program in social scientific research and community consultancy at the local and regional levels. Objective 1.Equip students with social concepts, theories, and research methods to understand and explain societal realities. 2. Develop students' abilities to study and analyze social phenomena, identifying positive aspects to reinfoce and addressing negative aspects preventatively and curatively.
3. Enable students to gain early analysis skills of contemporary social phenomena and issues. 4. Enable students to acquire scientific thinking and analysis skills for understanding and diagnosing societal phenomena and analyzing and interpreting the relationships between its elements. 5. Provide students with basic skills in conducting theoretical and field social research using scientific research techniques to analyze and interpret social phenomena. 6.Enable students to employ the results and outputs of reports, research, and studies to provide solutions for social problems that hinder society's progress and development, manage social crises, and enhance social security networks. 7.Build essential capacities that qualify students to pursue postgraduate studies. 8. Enable students to propose and present national initiatives in social communication through critical and creative thinkingto anticipate emerging social problems that hinder community development in general and the urban social reality in particular. 9. Instill teamwork values among students. 10. Develop students' capabilities and skills for sustainable education, learning, and communication. 11. Enhance the ethics of scientific research among students in the department.

Admission Requirements
1. The student must have a secondary school certificate or its equivalent, and the certificate must be recent.
2. The student is accepted according to the acceptance rates approved by the college each year.
3. The student must be of good conduct and behaviour.
4. The student must not have been previously convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving dishonesty.
