UK Student Qualifications 
  • 80 UCAS tariff points.
  • 5 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English.
  • If English is not your first language you will be expected to demonstrate a certificated level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 ( Academic level) or equivalent English Language qualification, as recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
  • An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will also be required.


To join the first year of our undergraduate course you’ll need one of the following.
  • GCE A levels from a recognised UK examination board.
  • An International Baccalaureate with a minimum of 24 points.
  • A university foundation course recognised by Anglia Ruskin University.
  • Relevant qualifications obtained in your home country: see our country-specific entry requirements.
  • For some courses there may be additional requirements, such as portfolios for art and design courses. These are outlined in our undergraduate course pages.


For the blended version of this course, it is a requirement that you are working with children and young people in an educational context for an average of 19.5 hours per week. Evidence, such as a reference, is required from your employer (or equivalent if the work is voluntary).
