The Biochemistry Programme is a 4-year degree programme intended to introduce the students to the science of Biochemistry and its enormous contributions to the growth of Medical Science, Agriculture, Industry, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology. The Programme is aimed at producing graduates with sound theoretical knowledge, up-to-date analytical techniques and expertise in Biochemistry and its applications in medicine, agriculture, food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical industries, and other industries.
Admission Requirements
200+
To qualify for admission into Biochemistry programme, an applicant must have successfully completed the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination. He/she must have at least credit level passes in five (5) ‘O’ Level (WASC/GCE/SSCE/NECO or Equivalent) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and any of three from the following: Biology, Chemistry, Health/General Science, Food and Nutrition Science, Agricultural Science and Physics; obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. In addition, an acceptable pass in the University Matriculation Examination (UME) subjects of English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and fulfil all other admission requirements as prescribed by the Senate of Covenant University.
