The B.A English degree programme of Covenant University was one of the first degree programmes that the University started with in 2002. It was initially run under the Department of Language and Communication Arts. Later, it became one of the two degree programmes under the Department of Languages and Literary Studies. Today, the B.A English degree is the only B.A degree programme f the Department of Languages and General Studies. Currently there are 78 students in the Department reading English. Students are taught courses covering language, linguistics and literature.

Admission Requirements
200+
To qualify for admission to the B.A English programme of the Department, applicant MUST have a credit pass in Mathematics, English Language, Literature in English and any other two O'Level subjects. Prospective students must sit for UME examination in English, Literature-in-English and any other two subjects. Applicants are also expected to participate in the Covenant University Scholastic Aptitude Test (CUSAT).
