Communication disorders and sciences offers current, challenging and applied curriculum in its academic and clinical requirements. It is a program of study for speech-language pathology or audiology within the college of sciences. This program meets the requirements for the certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and the Speech-Language Pathologist License awarded by the Illinois department of professional regulation, and a K-12 educator license (with endorsement awarded by the Illinois State Board of Education). Students may opt out of the educator license concentration in special circumstances with permission of the graduate coordinator.
