The Africana studies program offers an interdisciplinary curriculum with a wide range of course offerings in three categories: introductory, intermediate and advanced. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale is required. Other English language requirements: A score of 500 in paper based of the TOEFL examination; A minimum score of at least 69 on the English Proficiency Test administered by the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (MELAB).
