BA in Women's Studies

General Arts program has fifteen departments, within the Faculty of Social Science & Humanities. The degree is aimed particularly at the mature student. On this Women’s Studies program, students will learn about local and transnational systems that produce gendered structures from bodies through to nation-states; examine how the intersection of gender, race, class, ethnicity, sexuality, ability and age produce multiple lived experiences (a Core Competency for those who want to work in the Ontario Public Sector); and put theory into practice through student engagement, Department events, and activism.
