Lakehead’s Nursing program creates a supportive learning environment to help students apply a broad range of concepts from the sciences and liberal arts when caring for people of all ages and backgrounds. The faculty provides students with Nursing knowledge and regularly incorporate their research into the classroom with topics related to women's health, the aging process, nursing ethics, nursing care of oncology patients and those with cardiovascular disease, and much more. The 3-Year Compressed BScN program is available for applicants who meet the School of Nursing undergraduate program entrance requirements, and are coming to university directly from high school or have previous secondary school education. Applicants coming directly from high school must have a minimum overall final high school average of at least 80%. Applicants with previous post-secondary education must have a minimum average of at least 70% in their post-secondary education. In this program students will enrol in courses during the Spring/Summer sessions after Year 1 (for electives if not already met) and after Year 2.
