The Bachelor of Arts in Early Care and Education is a collaborative, multi-institutional limited enrollment program. This degree focuses on the intellectual, social, emotional, and biological development of children. Designed for active duty military, spouses, retired and Department of Defense employees, rural head start teachers and off-campus students, the program provides flexibility for working professionals who need to maintain employment while advancing their educational opportunity. The College of Social Science, in collaboration with The Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (GPIDEA), offers this program by faculty from multiple land-grant universities: Michigan State University, Iowa State University, University of Missouri, University of Nebraska, Oklahoma State University, South Dakota State University, and Texas Tech University.

Other English Language Requirements accepted: TOEFL Paper-based test score of 550 with no subscore below 52; Michigan State University English Language Test (MSUELT) average score of at least 80 with no subscore below 80, OR average score of at least 85 with no subscore below 78; Advanced Placement English Language score of 4 or higher; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) average score of 80 or higher; Michigan State University Certificate of English Language Proficiency (CELP) score of 65 with no subscore below 15; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE A) Minimum score of 53; minimum subscore requirement of 48.
