Prospective
physicians majoring in "Preventive Medicine" gain fundamental
knowledge in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology,
hygiene, epidemiology, public health and healthcare, infectious diseases, and
other clinical disciplines. The main goal of the training is to develop the
specialist's skills and abilities in sanitary, hygienic, and epidemiological
surveillance to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the
population, as well as to provide medical, social, and other assistance that
contributes to maintaining and improving public health, and the diagnosis and
treatment of infectious and socially conditioned diseases.
