The Sinology program is typically built around several pillars that help
students gain a comprehensive understanding of China.
Chinese language is studied
not only as a means of communication, but also as a key to understanding the
Chinese mentality and culture. The study of Chinese history, from
ancient dynasties to modern events, helps us understand how the country arrived
at its current state.
The curriculum also includes the study of art,
literature, traditions, religion, and ethical teachings—everything that
forms the Chinese identity. Furthermore, an in-depth look into the economics,
politics, social processes, and international relations of contemporary
China enables graduates to effectively navigate their future professional
careers.

Selecting the right scholarship can be a daunting process. With countless options available, students often find themselves overwhelmed and confused. The decision can be especially stressful for those facing financial constraints or pursuing specific academic or career goals.
To help students navigate this challenging process, we recommend the following articles:
1. Learning the Chinese language can indeed be challenging, but it is well worth the effort. What difficulties do those who begin studying it encounter?
There are several main points typically highlighted:
- Tones: Chinese is a tonal language, which can be a real challenge for those accustomed to languages where tone does not change a word's meaning;
- Characters: Instead of an alphabet, Chinese uses characters. Memorizing and writing them correctly is a separate task in itself;
- Grammar: Chinese grammar can be quite unfamiliar to us.
However, to overcome these difficulties, the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty has created all the necessary conditions, namely:
- Qualified instructors: These are specialists with an excellent command of the language and culture;
- Modern technical resources: Students have access to new books, audio and video resources, and classrooms equipped with modern technology;
- A language-rich environment: Students are given the opportunity to practice the language.
2. Specialists in Sinology can work in a wide variety of fields, including:
- Business and Commerce: This field employs professionals who conduct business with China;
- Government and Diplomacy: Experts in this area are needed for international relations;
- Education and Academia: Here, one can become a teacher or a researcher;
- Culture and Media: This sector includes translators, journalists, and tour guides.
The tuition fee is 40,000 soms per year.
4. To be admitted to educational institutions in China, one must first enroll in the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty, pass the HSK level 3-4 exams, and timely prepare and submit the necessary documents. If a higher education institution selects the student, an invitation will be issued.
The study period at Chinese universities lasts for 1 or 2 semesters, during which tuition and dormitory accommodation are free. Additionally, a monthly stipend of approximately 30,000 soms is provided.
