 Professional competencies:

- possesses basic theoretical knowledge of geology and paleontology and is able to apply this knowledge in the educational process. Able to characterize the Earth's development and the mechanism of relief-forming processes in the formation of surface topography. Assesses the role of relief in the structure and functioning of the Earth's surface at various levels and in human economic activity.

- understands natural and anthropogenic geosystems and modern continental landscapes, and is able to identify factors influencing the formation patterns and structure of geosystems at the local and regional levels. Characterizes the natural conditions, landscapes, flora, fauna, and resources of Kyrgyzstan, and assesses landscape changes resulting from human economic activity.

- possesses basic theoretical knowledge of population geography and demography, is able to identify current demographic, ethnic, recreational, transportation, industry, and technological issues, and formulate a position on their solutions. - knows the theoretical and applied foundations of economic, social, political geography and geopolitics of the world and Kyrgyzstan, and can use them in industrial and complex practice, in professional activities.

- when creating maps of various scales and themes, will have an understanding of their mathematical properties, principles of geographic mapping (methods of mapping phenomena, methods of generalization, methods of mapping), map creation technology, and will be able to conduct geodetic measurements and ground surveys.

In the field of design and production:

- possesses skills in organizing and conducting extracurricular activities. Will be able to organize exhibitions, tours, and lectures in museums, nature reserves, and other institutions related to geography.

- possesses skills in various fields, such as urban and regional planning, natural resource management, water and forestry, emergency management, environmental assessment, and development consulting.

- assists in the development and implementation of regional development plans, studying economic and demographic indicators, and transportation systems.

In the field of control and expert activities:

- analyzes climate change, soil and water pollution. Predicts and prevents natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, landslides), assesses geological hazards during design and construction.

- manages forest management, forest fire protection, illegal logging, and forest potential assessment.
