Central Research Station (CRS): A dedicated multi-disciplinary research facility equipped with advanced molecular biology tools (PCR, Gel Doc), functioning as an independent department to support Ph.D. scholars.
NABL Accredited Labs: Scholars working in Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Pathology have access to NABL-accredited diagnostic labs, ensuring their data meets international quality standards.
Animal House: The university maintains a CPCSEA-registered Central Animal House, essential for scholars conducting experimental pharmacology and drug discovery research.
Hospital Database: Clinical researchers have access to the vast patient records of the 938-bed Chhatrapati Shivaji Subharti Hospital, ideal for epidemiological and case-control studies.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification:
Medical Candidates: MD/MS/PG Diploma in the relevant subject.
Non-Medical Candidates: M.Sc. in Medical Anatomy/Physiology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Pharmacology with at least 55% marks (Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST/OBC).
Admission:
Admission is based on the Subharti University Entrance Test (SUET) followed by a personal interview/synopsis presentation.
Exemption: Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / ICMR JRF / GATE are often exempted from the written entrance test.
Duration
Duration: Minimum 3 Years (including course work).
Course Work: All scholars must complete a 6-month Pre-Ph.D. course work focusing on Research Methodology and Biostatistics.
