The M.Sc. in Medical Anatomy is a 3-year postgraduate program designed for science and allied health graduates who wish to pursue a career in medical teaching and research. The course provides in-depth training in human gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy.
Eligibility: Candidates must hold a B.Sc. degree in Life Sciences (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Biotechnology), or a professional degree like B.Sc. Nursing, BPT, BAMS, BHMS, BMLT, or B.Pharma with at least 50% marks .
Department Infrastructure:
Dissection Hall: A spacious hall with a capacity for 150 students, equipped for cadaveric dissection. It also features a Virtual Interactive Dissection table and fully annotated models for advanced learning.
Museum: The department boasts one of the finest Anatomy Museums in Northern India, housing a vast collection of wet and dry specimens, embryology models, and cross-sectional anatomy displays.
Laboratories: Students have access to a dedicated Histology Lab (80-student capacity) and a Post-Graduate Research Lab equipped for histological slide preparation and histochemistry.
Research & Academics: The department is active in research with over 108 publications. The curriculum includes seminars, journal clubs, and training in medical education technologies.
Admission: Admission is granted through the University Central Entrance Examination (SNET/MERIT) .
