Department Infrastructure & Training
The department is equipped with some of the most advanced cardiac care facilities in Western Uttar Pradesh, providing residents with high-volume clinical exposure.
Cath Lab (Invasive Cardiology):
Training is conducted in the state-of-the-art Philips FD20 Cath Lab, known for its high-resolution imaging.
Procedures: Residents gain hands-on experience in Coronary Angiography (Radial/Femoral), Angioplasty (PTCA) with stenting, and Peripheral Angiography .
Advanced Interventions: The curriculum covers Pacemaker implantations (PPI/TPI, AICD, CRT), Balloon Valvotomies (BMV), and device closures for congenital defects (ASD/VSD).
Non-Invasive Cardiology:
Diagnostic Labs: Equipped with high-end machines for 3D/4D Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echo (TEE), and Fetal Echo .
Stress Testing: Facilities for Treadmill Test (TMT), Dobutamine Stress Echo, and Holter Monitoring for arrhythmia analysis.
Critical Care (ICCU):
Residents manage critical cases in the 24x7 Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU), handling acute myocardial infarctions (heart attacks), heart failure, and cardiogenic shock using advanced monitoring systems.
Academic Focus
Case Discussions: Regular cath meetings, mortality meets, and journal clubs to discuss complex interventional cases.
Research: Residents are encouraged to publish research papers on clinical cardiology and utilize the hospital's database for studies on coronary artery disease patterns.
