Specific objectives include: generating knowledge based on new epistemological approaches of gender studies for the deconstruction of an excluding vision of society in terms of gender; analyzing the relationships between/intra-sexes, genders, generational and ethnic relations based on theories and methodologies of the different disciplines that dialogue with gender studies in such a way that they strengthen and accompany the demands of the new emerging subjects and the current social issues and problems in areas of a more just society; disseminating knowledge that supports critical reflection on socially constructed differences based on gender, sex, class, ethnicity, age and sexual orientation that are inscribed in social practices, areas of daily life, ideologies, cultural representations and symbolic systems in academic and public, national and international spaces; AND formulating strategies to reduce or solve problems related to gender issues, based on theoretical and methodological frameworks and social reality.
