Biomedical Engineering is a dynamic field that integrates principles from biology, medicine, and engineering to pioneer cutting-edge technology, both hardware, and software, within the healthcare realm. As an inherently interdisciplinary discipline, it is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life by spearheading the design, implementation, and management of innovative technologies. Biomedical engineers collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and psychologists to develop technology aimed at prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, treatment, and rehabilitation. Graduates of our program will possess the following capabilities: Develop and oversee the implementation of medical devices and health technologies; Manage technology, quality, and regulatory affairs within the healthcare sector; Pioneer the establishment of new enterprises to deliver innovative products and services to the healthcare industry; Engage with both national and international regulatory frameworks governing hospitals and medical devices; and Excel in roles encompassing teaching, as well as basic and applied research endeavors.
