The Specialization in Energy-Efficient Building Design is designed to train specialists capable of conducting in-depth analyses of the energy performance of living spaces using bioclimatic design principles. This training aims to evaluate proposals that mitigate environmental impact within our habitats, fostering a critical understanding of sustainability in construction. Specific objectives include: developing a critical understanding of sustainability in construction, encompassing its scope and limitations; designing strategies and interventions to optimize energy consumption in living spaces through bioclimatic adjustments; analyzing approaches for reducing the environmental footprint of buildings through enhanced energy efficiency; evaluating the energy and environmental performance of buildings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and secure national and international certifications; AND formulating design proposals that prioritize economic savings, integrating considerations of energy efficiency, environmental impact, and the utilization of renewable energy sources.
