The Science and Environmental Education master’s degrees programs focus on theory and research-based best practices in formal and nonformal science/environmental teaching and learning at all age levels (preK-adult). The science education M.Ed. degree (known as “ProTeach”) is a state-approved and nationally-accredited middle and high school initial teacher preparation program. Three tracks are offered (biology, chemistry, and physics), all of which fulfill the course and field experience requirements for professional teacher certification to teach grades 6-12 science in the State of Florida. No thesis or project is required for the M.Ed. degree.
