The Master of Commerce offers great choice and flexibility, allowing you to develop the knowledge and skills to advance your career in a wide range of specialisations. Our program will equip you with an applied understanding of core business concepts and practices. High achieving students will have the option to undertake a work placement in Australia or overseas. This degree is a two-year program of full-time study (or four years part-time) designed to enable graduates with a recognised bachelor's qualification in any field – and at a standard acceptable to the Business School – the opportunity to acquire an applied understanding of business concepts and practices, including in-depth knowledge in up to three preferred areas of business practice. Recognition of prior learning may reduce the number of units required, and thereby the duration of the degree. Students with either a bachelor’s degree in a business field or a minimum of 3 years professional work experience are eligible for a semester reduction – to 1.5 years full-time equivalent – and those with both, or a master’s degree in a business field, are eligible for a reduction of two semesters – to 1 year full-time equivalent.
