The Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Flexible First Year) is an undergraduate coursework program that will allow you to commence your studies with core subjects before transferring into your engineering stream of choice at the end of your first semester. You will complete a common set of core units covering maths, computing and an introduction to engineering before transferring into your preferred stream at the start of your second semester. The Faculty of Engineering offers one-year exchange programs with partner universities in Europe, Asia and North America. In addition to your Professional Engagement Program (PEP) commitments, there are opportunities to join a diverse range of engineering student societies and engage in outreach activities, industry placements and competitions throughout your degree.

A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses. This course has a Mathematics prerequisite. You are expected to have studied the following subjects in high school to succeed in this course: Mathematics Extension 1; Chemistry and / or Physics. Other assumed knowledge depends on majors or units of study chosen.
