This course has been designed by critical care clinicians for doctors interested in emergency medicine, anaesthetics and intensive care medicine. Students will have a range of subjects to choose from as they develop skills in teaching, simulation and research. This course is only available to students currently enrolled in the Master of Medicine (Critical Care Medicine) who meet the criteria for admission. The course provides advanced postgraduate training for students who intend to pursue a career in: emergency medicine, anaesthetics, and intensive care medicine. The Australasian College For Emergency Medicine (ACEM) had approved following units of study for the purpose of fulfilling the Trainee Research Requirement: CEPI5100: Introduction to Clinical Epidemiology; PUBH5018: Introductory Biostatistics; and CRIT5008: Evidence and Ethics in Critical Care.

Admission to the course requires: completion of the requirements for the Master of Medicine (Critical Care), an average mark of at least 75% in 24 credit points of compulsory and/or stream specific units of study; and any other requirements as stated by the Faculty at the time of application.
