The Bachelor of Pharmacy and Management offers combination of pharmacy skills and business knowledge to develop the commercial, clinical and communication skills necessary to thrive in a changing and competitive healthcare landscape. Students will develop an understanding of sound business practices integrated with sustainable healthcare models. Through practical learning and extensive clinical placements, students will learn how drugs are developed and how medications affect the human body, as well as how to apply key business knowledge to their pharmacy practice, no matter which professional pharmacy avenue they choose. Students will cover topics including chemical, physical, pharmaceutical and pharmacological properties of medicines, and the application of these in the practice as well as junior and intermediate business subjects. Learning occurs through a mix of lectures, tutorials, labs, small group work and problem-based learning, which develop valuable practical skills and knowledge. In senior years, considerable time is spent in clinical placements in community and hospital pharmacies, where they will gain significant practical experience.

A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses. This course has a Mathematics prerequisite. You are expected to have studied the following subjects in high school to succeed in this course: Mathematics Advanced, Biology, and Chemistry.
