The Master of Laws (LL.M.) in American Legal Practice is designed for students who have completed, at minimum, an LL.B. or its equivalent outside of the United States. The LL.M. provides these students with a sophisticated knowledge of U.S. legal practice and grounds them in a basic understanding of U.S. law. To earn the LL.M., students must successfully complete 24 semester credits. There are no distribution requirements. Every student will receive individualized academic counseling and the student's individual program of study will be set up in consultation with an advisor.

Acceptance for graduate study at Drexel University requires a four-year bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or an equivalent international institution. Although admission requirements vary by program, regular acceptance typically requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B) for the last two years of undergraduate work. The average for any graduate work must be at least 3.0.
