Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management

The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management prepares students for leadership positions in restaurant operations, tourism, event planning, casino management and hotel administration. The program is offered as a five-year program with three six-month cooperative education experiences. In addition to coursework in hospitality management, students will take a hospitality business core which results in a minor from the LeBow College of Business. Students learn the fundamental principles of hospitality and of business management in the areas of customer service, leadership, human resources, economics, marketing and more. Located in the historic and culturally diverse city of Philadelphia, students study within the heart of one of the most robust tourist destinations in the country. Students will live within steps of transportation to a multitude of hotels, major event planning organizations, an international airport, casinos and some of the nation’s best restaurants. As the sixth largest city in the United States, Philadelphia is in the midst of a restaurant renaissance featuring world-class cuisine, state of the art hotel accommodations and a mix of entertainment product. Drexel faculty members are recognized as industry professionals. Their broad reaches of network affiliations, topical research/published works and instructional methods directly link our students to the industry. We work with each student individually to ensure they are personally connected with their specific area of interest.
