Master’s Degree Program in Composition (060306)

The Master’s Degree Program in Composition is a two-year, 120-credit graduate program designed to prepare highly qualified specialists in the fields of musical composition, research, and higher education teaching. The program is structured in accordance with national higher education standards and is offered by higher education institutions regardless of their organizational or ownership status.

Program Overview

The program provides advanced theoretical, historical, and practical training in composition, with a strong emphasis on contemporary compositional techniques, music analysis, orchestration, and interdisciplinary research. Students gain in-depth knowledge of the evolution of world and Azerbaijani compositional schools, stylistic movements, and modern musical languages from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Graduates of the program are expected to:
