The undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Ecological Engineering is an extensive course of study that aims to give students not only the academic background but also the technical and practical skills necessary for the development of engineering solutions to the current environmental issues. The program brings together concepts from various disciplines such as ecology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering in a way that they all contribute to good environmental practices and sustainable development.
Program Objectives
- Develop professional competencies in ecological engineering, including environmental monitoring, pollution control, waste management, and resource conservation.
- Prepare graduates to apply scientific and engineering methods to assess, model, and mitigate environmental impacts.

Curriculum Structure
The program comprises 240 ECTS credits, distributed as follows:
- General Subjects (30 ECTS) : Azerbaijani History, Azerbaijani Language for Academic and Professional Communication, Foreign Language, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Fundamentals of Physics.
- Specialized Subjects (120 ECTS) : Core courses in ecological engineering, general chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry and toxicology, engineering graphics, remote sensing, hydrology, general ecology, environmental impact assessment, ecological modeling, environmental monitoring, environmental management, waste-free production processes, climate change, soil reclamation, and civil defense.
- University-Defined Subjects (60 ECTS) : Elective courses tailored to institutional expertise, research infrastructure, and labor market needs.
- Internship and Final Project (30 ECTS) : Practical training and a graduation thesis.
