The Master's degree program in Artificial Intelligence Technology and Applications is a cross-disciplinary teaching focus actively developed by National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University. It integrates the rich resources and outstanding faculty of the College of Electrical Engineering and the College of Information Science to actively cultivate talents in the field of AI who have leading innovation capabilities, the ability to solve key technical problems, meet the needs of Taiwan's economic and industrial development, and have an international perspective and global competitiveness. Through the AI talent sprint, we actively promote industry-university cooperation, drive the integration of AI technology and industry, and lead Taiwan's technological development and growth.        The talent training goals of this program include solid basic science and AI professional knowledge, mastering cross-disciplinary compound knowledge, and possessing AI engineering processes and practical capabilities. In line with this goal, the curriculum planning of this program covers multi-faceted AI courses with both depth and breadth, including four key directions: basic AI theory, AI chips and components, AI applications and optimization, and AI signals and systems.        A key feature of this program is the construction of diverse practical applications in the field of AI that are close to the needs of the industry and integrate hardware and software. Examples include drones, self-driving cars, reinforcement learning visual intelligence systems, video compression, AI chip design, factory automation testing, medical big data analysis, and AI robotics. This allows students to leverage the latest academic findings, delve into real-world scenarios, and directly learn AI engineering practices that enable them to "use AI to solve real-world problems."
