The objective of Bachelor of Photonics is to create the best conditions for the transfer of knowledge and know-how in photonics. A graduate degree in photonics science and engineering will prepare you for a wide variety of satisfying career paths, including such as fundamental research, energy-oriented photonics, optic communication, display technology, and biophotonics and Sensing. DoP currently has 29 full-time faculty members, and 13 honorary professors. Seven of our faculty members are the fellows of OSA, SPIE, and SID. The photonic industry in Taiwan is rapidly growing with bright future. From optic storage, display, solid-state lighting and solar cell to biophotonics, ripples initiated at joint academic and industrial programs are merging into a tsunami. Alumni, faculty and students of DoP play a crucial role in this photonic surge, which is expected to become an impact on the Taiwan economic future.
