The Sun Yat-sen University MTA program has three major advantages:
(I) The college boasts a strong and diverse faculty. Two faculty members are national-level high-level talents. 100% of the college's professional teachers hold doctoral degrees, and most have overseas study experience. The faculty possess diverse academic backgrounds, rich teaching experience, and strong research and practical abilities. Furthermore, the college has specially appointed industry leaders and experts as part-time master's supervisors to provide MTA students with application-oriented teaching guidance that aligns with their actual work needs.
(II) Committed to cultivating students' comprehensive abilities and helping them grow into industry leaders. Sun Yat-sen University's MTA program adopts a systematic curriculum to provide students with systematic skills training; at the same time, it is equipped with both on-campus mentors and industry mentors, emphasizing the combination of scientific research and industry practice to cultivate students' comprehensive abilities and enable them to better grow into industry leaders.
(III) Possesses a broad exchange platform and abundant resources. The college has built an exchange platform that integrates college teachers, industry mentors, industry leaders, and MTA students, opening up resource channels between industry and academia; at the same time, it emphasizes alumni exchanges, establishes multiple alumni associations, and integrates rich alumni resources to help students in their career paths after graduation.
The Sun Yat-sen University MTA program, after admission through the National Management Joint Entrance Examination, involves three years of part-time study. Upon completion of the required credits and successful defense of the master's thesis, students receive two certificates (a master's degree graduation certificate and a master's degree certificate). In accordance with national strategic needs and the requirements of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee regarding the training program for Master of Tourism Management programs, and leveraging the strengths of the School of Tourism Management at Sun Yat-sen University, our school plans to continue offering intensive and weekend classes in 2025, providing students with flexible options. The intensive classes will be held not only on the South Campus in Guangzhou but also include on-site case studies at various rural revitalization demonstration sites across the country.
