Physics majors primarily study foundational mathematical and physical courses such as *University Physics*, *Advanced Mathematics*, *Geometry and Algebra*, *Tensor Analysis*, *Complex Functions*, *Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics*, *Theoretical Mechanics*, *Electrodynamics*, *Fluid Mechanics*, *Quantum Mechanics*, *Introduction to Physics and Nuclear Science*, *Plasma Physics*, and *Probability and Statistics (Science and Engineering)*, cultivating students' learning abilities. They also take foundational technical courses such as *Structured and Object-Oriented Programming*, *Particle Detection Technology*, *Engineering Drawing and CAD*, and *Scientific Computing Methods and Practice*, fostering students' critical thinking and practical skills. In terms of experimental skills, the college offers a unique experimental curriculum system including *University Physics Experiments*, *Basic Experiments for Physics Majors*, *Advanced Demonstration Experiments*, *Particle Physics and Nuclear Physics Experiments*, *Nuclear Electronics Experiments*, *Plasma Experiments*, and *Accelerator Design Experiments*. Furthermore, the college emphasizes practical training, having already signed an internship agreement with Shenzhen Bay Laboratory and is preparing to sign relevant internship agreements with the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Our college emphasizes cultivating students' learning, thinking, and action abilities in physics. Based on a solid foundation in mathematics and physics, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and practical abilities, we focus on specializations such as accelerator technology, particle physics and nuclear physics, nuclear detectors and electronics, and plasma physics. Graduates are prepared to develop in-depth in fields urgently needed by the country, such as future large-scale scientific facilities, biomedical engineering, and integrated circuit design, and become specialized research talents and interdisciplinary talents engaged in research, teaching, and application development in science, education, information, and finance.
