The Extended MSc International Business with Data Analytics programme comprises 12 taught modules and an applied project worth 45 credits. Semester Structure Semester 1 (Level 6) : Three 20-credit modules · Research Methods for Postgraduate Students (BMG575) · Academic Essentials (BMG625) · Enterprise Development (BMG626) Semesters 2–4 (Level 7) : Nine 15-credit modules · BMG705 Global Business in Context · MKT744 Global Marketing and Sales Development · BMG704 International Finance · BMG814 Digital Landscape · BMG880 Data Analytics for International Business · BMG871 Research Design in International Business · BMG936 International Entrepreneurship · BMG872 Global Strategy Development and Implementation · BMG967 Applied Research Skills for International Business In the fourth semester, students also complete the Independent Project (BMG847), a 45-credit module. Exit Awards Students completing eight Level 7 modules (120 credits) may exit with a Postgraduate Diploma in International Business. Completion of four Level 7 modules (60 credits) allows exit with a Postgraduate Certificate in International Business. Students who pass the three core Level 6 modules, Academic Essentials, Research Methods for Postgraduate Students, and Enterprise Development, may exit with a Graduate Certificate in Business .

Admission Requirements

We recognise a range of qualifications for admission to our courses. In addition to the specific entry conditions for this course you must also meet the University’s General Entrance Requirements. Entry Requirements Applicants must have gained: A third class, pass or ordinary degree, or equivalent from a University of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, or from a recognised national awarding body or from institution of another country which has been recognised as being of an equivalent standard; and In exceptional circumstances, as an alternative, where an individual has substantial and significant experiential learning, a portfolio of written evidence demonstrating the meeting of graduate qualities (including subject specific outcomes, as determined by the Course Committee) may be considered as an alternative entrance route. Evidence used to demonstrate graduate qualities may not be used for exemption against modules within the programme. English Language Requirements English language requirements for international applicants The minimum requirement for this course is Academic IELTS 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5. Trinity ISE: Pass at level III also meets this requirement for Tier 4 visa purposes. Ulster recognises a number of other English language tests and comparable IELTS equivalent scores. English language requirements Your country Exemptions and transferability Studies pursued and examinations passed in respect of other qualifications awarded by Ulster University or by another university or other educational institution, or evidence from the accreditation of prior experiential learning, may be accepted as exempting candidates from part of the programme.
