Neuroscience is dedicated to the study of the structure and function of the nervous system from a multidisciplinary approach that integrates concepts from physics, chemistry, and biology, with anatomy, physiology, and behaviour, including emotional and cognitive functions.

Neuroscience research ranges from the study of molecules through cells and pathways, to complex human behaviour, and can for example help to understand how the brain regulates behaviour, including giving rise to consciousness, or to find ways to prevent or cure neurological and psychiatric disorders.

The UPCH Master of Neuroscience is a unique advanced research training and mentorship program focused on indigenous minorities in South America. The program focuses on capacity building in clinical research applications of neuroimaging, genetics, epidemiology, neuropsychology, and neuromodulation. It also offers personalized training environments and an online innovation ecosystem to support capacity and professional development after completing the master's degree, opening the opportunity to pursue a doctorate.
